Halloween Costumes for Couples
I’m going to completely disqualify myself as any sort of expert by saying this, but I’m not the best when it comes to planning Halloween costumes. Just keeping it real.
As a kid, my choices weren’t that innovative. I dressed up as a witch more than once. When I was 9, I decided to be a nun because I had worn a habit to give a school presentation about St. Rose Philippine Duchesne a week before Oct. 31.
As an adult, I can count the number of times I’ve celebrated in character on half a hand (a gross image -- albeit a fitting one for Halloween).
But! I admire a clever costume. And when a couple coordinates their outfits, I’m doubly impressed.
I have friends who begin plotting for Halloween in early spring. To those people, below are ideas for 2019. To everyone else, there’s still time to get a costume together for this year’s celebration. Trust me. I’ve done it.
Carl and Ellie from “Up”
Andy Warhol and Marilyn Monroe
